Coffered Ceiling

Coffered Ceiling: Ater Finishing Work by Murals & Moldings of New Jersey

It is always very satisfying to see the before and after shots of the work we’ve done. When we are finished with a project, it looks as if it was meant to be. Though we were present every step of the way, we forget how cold and bare it looked before we started. Below is the Dining Room after wall panels and ceiling coffers were installed.

We chose to give the woodwork in the Dining Room a pearl finish rather than a shinier semi-gloss. When we applied the glaze, the result is a more antique effect. The wall panels are given a light plaster application and glaze. The result is a unified palette with subtle textures to soften all the hard edges of the molding.

The columns are marbled with texture and delicate veining to coordinate and complete the look.

Our clients Great Room ceiling is 18 feet high, freshly coffered and ready for prep work, prime, paint and glaze.

To assure the best finish finish, we elected to spray the ceiling with primer first then semi-gloss. The glaze is custom mixed to coordinate with a factory finish on some work that was previously installed. The result is a ceiling that is warm and majestic.
